History Of Navision

Navision was originally founded in 1983 by Jesper Balser, Peter Bang and Torben Wind in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2002 it was acquired by Microsoft, and in 2007 it was renamed Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Microsoft Navision now sits within the Microsoft Dynamics suite of Microsoft ERP and CRM business management systems and is most often called Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Microsoft Navision was developed around 3 objectives to:
Increase productivity of your people, processes, and technology investments
Enable you to create profitable relationships with your customers and business partners
Help you gain business insight and advance your strategy
The change in name to Microsoft Dynamics NAV reflects the direction Microsoft is taking with business technology: an approach that centres on how people work and on process-centric design. Microsoft chose "Dynamics" because customers indicated that they found the name meaningful as they pursue their objectives under constantly-shifting market, technology, and business conditions.
